Mariners' Marina has some basic rules designed to keep the Marina safe and fun. An abridged copy of the Marina Rules is posted at each of the electrical boxes around the marina. You may also download and/or print a full copy of the Mariners' Marina Rules by clicking below. The Mariners' Marina Board reserves the right to fine and/or expel boaters from the Marina for rules infractions. In the latter case, any rental fees are forfeited.
Fire Lane - The gravel running along the north side of the harbor is a fire lane and vehicles may not park along this road. A ten minute grace period is provided for unloading and loading of vehicles.
Refueling - There is no refueling allowed in the marina. Period. Boaters may bring sealed fuel containers to their boat but these containers may not be opened in the marina. Boaters may legally refuel their boat in the river.
Electrical Connections - Dock power should not be used for running boat air conditioners and other high current items when owners are not present. This will help control commercial power usage in the harbor during the boating season.
Speed Limit - Vehicles should drive slowly on the gravel road running along the north side of the harbor. Please do not make dust which can settle on boats in the harbor. Children are often playing along the road which is another reason to drive slowly and carefully.

This webpage highlights items of interest for the Mariners' Marina Condominium Association (MMCA - also referred to as the Marina). The MMCA is primarily focused with the harbor, boat slips, docks, and surrounding common areas such as the peninsula, gravel parking lots, and roads. All boat slip owners are members of the MMCA.
The Clubhouse and pool are privately owned and are not included in either the Village or Marina Condominium Associations. However, the Clubhouse is most relevant to the Marina since it houses restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities which are frequently used by boaters. And the private, beautiful pool is a popular place to enjoy time with your friends.
Mariners' Village accesses water from the harbor for their ponds via a pump on the east end of the harbor. They also discharge pond water into the harbor via a rock and pipe formation on the north side of the Marina. Mariners' Village is responsible and liable for the maintenance and operation of all pond water facilities.
The Mariners' Marina Condominium Association administers the marina and associated common elements of the marina. This consists primarily of the slips, the harbor, two marina parking lots, peninsula park, boat ramp, and the marina gravel road. The Clubhouse and pool are privately owned and are not included in either the Village or Marina Associations. The following Owners currently serve on the MMCA Board:
President - Thom Jungels email address: thom.mariners@gmail.com
Treasurer - Steve Diaz email address: stephendiaz@att.net
Secretary - Patricia Jungels email address: thom.mariners@gmail.com
The MMCA Board members currently serve two-year terms.

Meetings
According to Illinois State Law, the Board must meet at least four times a year, generally once per quarter. All Owners must be notified of and invited to attend each Board meeting. One of these meetings is the annual meeting of the voting members which is generally held in November. Each slip owner is afforded one vote (per boat slip and each vote is weighted by the slip's condominium ownership percentage) at owners voting meetings to help decide various policy and budget issues that the Board may raise. The MMCA By-Laws govern the Marina and slip condominium ownership percentages are provided in Exhibit C of the MMCA By-Laws. The By-Laws have been been digitized and the latest copy is available in the Condominium Association Archives section below.
Meeting notices (in the Mariners' Marina Logbook), minutes, and agendas will be posted on this webpage as they are made electronically available. Please see the Condominium Association Archives section below.
